Week 3 grades for the Buffalo Bills against the Miami Dolphins
Cornerbacks
The cornerbacks were a major concern for the Buffalo Bills with no Dane Jackson and the team having to start two rookies against Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. To make matters even worse, the Bills would see Christian Benford leave the game early due to a hand injury and had undrafted free agent rookie Ja’Marcus Ingram play a good portion of the game.
After what this group showed against the two wide receivers that ranked in the Top 3 in receiving yards entering this game, the coaching staff should feel much more confident in this group.
The Dolphins would throw for only 171 passing yards and one touchdown while Waddle was the only receiver who had more than 50 yards in this game. The only reason Waddle’s numbers would look good was due to a 45-yard reception, which wasn’t entirely the fault of the cornerbacks.
It was an impressive performance by this group and that is a credit to not only the coaching staff but the performance of the players on the field.
