4 Buffalo Bills on defense to watch in Week 3 against the Dolphins
Von Miller
One of the ways that the Buffalo Bills can help a secondary missing a number of starters is to get pressure on quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. If the Bills can limit the time in the pocket, it will limit the Dolphins’ quarterback’s chances of finding those deep throws and big plays.
Through the first two games, the Buffalo Bills pass rush has looked tremendous and one of the big reasons has been Von Miller. While it is very early in the season, the former All-Pro has been everything the team hoped for when they brought him in as a free agent.
Miller had two sacks in Week 1 against the Los Angeles Rams and then against the Tennessee Titans had one tackle for a loss. However, his presence on the field certainly helped other players, like Greg Rousseau, get pressure on Ryan Tannehill and disrupt their passing game.
The Buffalo Bills have moved Miller around over the first two games and that should continue again this week. If he lines up over the left tackle, it could be a major mismatch if Terron Armstead is not able to play while putting him on the other side of the line would have him rushing into Tua Tagovailoa’s blindside.
