4 Buffalo Bills on defense to watch in Week 3 against the Dolphins
Jordan Poyer
While the Buffalo Bills are going to be without one half of their starting safety duo, the Bills, fortunately, appear they will at least have Jordan Poyer on the field. He has been dealing with a foot injury but was able to practice on a limited basis on Friday and was listed as questionable.
The first-team All-Pro from a season ago is off to a great start and has one interception in each of the first two games.
In this game, there will be extra pressure on Poyer as he will need to be the clear leader and voice for the inexperienced secondary. He not only will have two rookies on the outside but likely will be starting alongside Jaquan Johnson at safety, who has only one career start.
This is going to be a big test for Jordan Poyer who will be playing only his third game since 2017 without Micah Hyde lining up next to him at safety. One of the biggest challenges in this game will be keeping the play in front of them and not allowing Hill and Waddle to get over the top of the defense.
If the Bills, and particularly, Poyer can limit those big plays the defense should have some success.
