Buffalo Bills Free Agent Target: Chris Harris Jr.

The final free agent is on the defensive side of the ball as the cornerback position appears likely to be without starter Dane Jackson this week after his neck injury. When considering the Bills are going to be without Tre’Davious White at least through Week 4, the team may want to consider adding a veteran at the position.

One player that would make a lot of sense is Chris Harris Jr., who has played in the NFL for 11 seasons with the last two as a member of the Los Angeles Chargers.

He is a four-time Pro Bowler and has 164 career games with 22 interceptions and 94 passes defended. In addition to the experience, he brings versatility as he can play both outside but also in the slot.

If the Bills were to sign him, he could help rotate on the outside at the beginning of the year but after Tre’Davious White returns he could be a veteran backup for Taron Johnson in the slot. When considering how much the Bills play in nickel, having a veteran as a backup would make plenty of sense for this defense.
