5 quick postgame thoughts for the Buffalo Bills from Week 2
Sloppy play on third and fourth down from the Buffalo Bills in the first half
There weren’t many negatives from this game but in the first half, the offense wasn’t nearly as efficient on third and fourth down. After converting 90% of their third down conversions in Week 1, the Buffalo Bills did not look nearly as good this week against the Tennessee Titans. It started on their second drive as the Bills seemed to scramble to the line on 3rd and 1 before Zack Moss failed to pick up a yard.
The Bills would then go for it on fourth down but the Titans would get a great rush and Josh Allen would try to throw out of the sack but the ball was smacked down.
Then on the next drive, Josh Allen would skip a pass to Jake Kumerow on 3rd and 1 followed by Greg Van Roten being called for a false start by tapping a Titans’ defender who jumped.
The final drive of the first half would end with a touchdown but prior to Stefon Diggs’ touchdown reception, the Bills would be called for a false start on a 3rd and 1, call a timeout on 4th and 1 on a play that looked like the Titans’ jumped. They finally would get into the end zone after that time out and helped give them the 10-point lead going into halftime.
