Chicago Bears

Another team who scored an upset was the Chicago Bears over the San Francisco 49ers as the Bears won 19-10 in a low-scoring game that likely was impacted heavily by the weather. The stat line wasn’t overly impressive for either team as Justin Fields threw for only 121 yards and another 28 yards on the ground but did have two passing touchdowns in the second half that helped them pull away from the 49ers.

One of the keys for the Chicago Bears was the development of Justin Field as he enters his second year in the NFL. It wasn’t an overly impressive performance but it showed enough promise that the coaching staff should be able to build on this season.

It was the defense though that looked much better than expected with players like Kyler Gordon and Jaquan Brisker having big games in their first career NFL game. If Chicago continues to get these types of performances from their younger players, it will be a tougher game for the Buffalo Bills than initially thought.
