Josh Allen sets a franchise record

The game, and season for that matter, for Josh Allen couldn’t have gotten off to a better start. In fact, he completed his first 10 passes of the game, and it really should have been 11 as that attempt should have been caught by Isaiah McKenzie. However, McKenzie bobbled the pass and it was taken out of his hands for an interception.

Allen would go on to complete in total 26 of 31 passes for a completion percentage of 83.8% and would set a franchise record for the highest completion percentage in a game.

For a quarterback who entered the NFL with questions about his accuracy, this is the one area that he has probably shown the most improvements. In 2020 and 2021, Allen has been above 63% completion percentage after being below 58% in his first two years in the league.

There is only been 18 times that a quarterback has had a completion percentage over 70%. If Josh Allen wants to join that group, he is off to a great start.
