Buffalo Bills miss Tre’Davious White but should be fine until he returns

The Buffalo Bills have known for a few weeks now that they would be without their All-Pro cornerback to start the year after they placed him on the PUP list when they cut the rosters down. This meant the team was going to look to some combination of Dane Jackson, Kaiir Elam, and Christian Benford to be the starters until White returned.

There was certainly some concern with this group due to their inexperience but this game should give the coaching staff confidence that they can be competitive until he returns.

The Rams are the best passing offense the Bills should face in the first four weeks and while there were some rookie mistakes like from Christian Benford on the opening drive, who got the start over Kaiir Elam, the defensive line and the pressure they were generating will be a tremendous help.

While Cooper Kupp looked unstoppable, there haven’t been many cornerbacks that can stay with last year’s leader in receptions, receiving yards, and touchdowns. However, in total, the Bills held Stafford under 250 yards and that was a huge win for a secondary missing Tre’Davious White.
