5 storylines for the Buffalo Bills in Week 1 against the Los Angeles Rams
How does the offensive line do against Aaron Donald?
The offensive line has dealt with the most injuries since the beginning of training camp of any position group for the Buffalo Bills this year. However, the good news is that they are finally getting healthy and on the first depth chart of the year look to be going into this game with the starting five that many expected.
The biggest question mark was right tackle Spencer Brown, who has been working his way back from an offseason back procedure. Sean McDermott was asked if there were any concerns about Brown playing a full game and he said the team has been ramping him up over the past few weeks and he appears ready to go.
This is good news because the Buffalo Bills are going to need their best five out on the field Thursday night to try and block Aaron Donald. There is no question that Donald is one of the best, if not the best, defensive player in the NFL right now.
Josh Allen was asked about Donald after practice on Sunday and said “he’s one of one” and watching his film is scary.
The Buffalo Bills this year essentially have two new starting guards with free agent addition Rodger Saffold as well as Ryan Bates at the other guard spot. While Bates was with the team last year, he didn’t really become a starter until late in the season and this is his first opportunity to be a full-time starter.
The offensive line hasn’t had much time together this summer and there is not going to be much easing into the season with Aaron Donald on the other side.
