Odell Beckham Jr.
The rumors connecting Odell Beckham Jr. to the Buffalo Bills have been running for a while now and if the Bills are going to sign the former All-Pro wide receiver, it makes sense to do so now.
The reason is that the Bills could sign him and then move him to injured reserve. By making that move now, the team can activate him when he is fully recovered from his ACL injury. However, if they signed him prior to this point and tried to move him to injured reserve he would have been lost for the season.
This is not necessarily a move the Buffalo Bills have to make and they should feel confident with their wide receiver group of Stefon Diggs, Gabe Davis, Isaiah McKenzie, Jamison Crowder, and Isaiah McKenzie. However, as the Rams saw last year depth is critical at the position and a team can never have too many good wide receivers.
After a disastrous run with the Cleveland Browns, Odell Beckham Jr. showed he is still a good wide receiver in the second half of the year and into the playoffs with the Los Angeles Rams. If the two sides are able to agree to a contract, having OBJ potentially available for a playoff run to bolster this offense might now be a bad idea.
