The NFL Network recently completed its latest annual rankings for the Top 100 players for the upcoming season. While the Buffalo Bills had five players make the rankings, there were certainly some surprises.

One of the biggest was Josh Allen being ranked only 13th and dropping three spots from the previous rankings in 2021. He was joined by his teammates Stefon Diggs, Micah Hyde, Jordan Poyer, and Von Miller.

Looking ahead to next year, these are three players on the Buffalo Bills that could join this group.

Tre’Davious White

It is hard to believe that Tre’Davious White was not on their year’s rankings but the knee injury may have played a factor here. He has been one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL and even with missing the final six games, White had six passes defended, and one interception while allowing completions on only 52% of passes thrown his direction in 2021.

Prior to last season, White had made the Pro Bowl each year and combined for nine interceptions and 28 pass breakups. He was a big reason for the Buffalo Bills success against the pass and why they were seemingly at the top of most passing defense categories over that period.

The best chance for Tre’Davious White to be in the rankings next year will be to return early in the year after his ACL injury last season. He has yet to practice this year and is still currently on the PUP list.

Once he returns, if White is able to return to the level he has shown when he does return it is going to be a big boost for this defense and he most certainly should be considered one of the Top 100 players.
