The Buffalo Bills are going to have to get their roster down to 53 players by Tuesday afternoon but once that is done, the front office will continue working as they will need to build out their practice squad.

Over the past few years, the Bills have built their practice squad almost exclusively from players that were with the team during training camp and preseason. This is something that is unlikely to change this season.

When looking at players who are likely to be cut, these are five players who seem destined to return as a part of their practice squad as long as they aren’t claimed or signed with another team.

Luke Tenuta

The Buffalo Bills drafted Luke Tenuta in the seventh round of the 2022 NFL Draft. The former Virginia Tech offensive lineman played significant snaps in all three preseason games and this is going to be very beneficial for his development.

However, his performance was very inconsistent and at this point doesn’t look to be ready to contribute for the Buffalo Bills as a backup. While the Bills may look to keep him as their last offensive lineman, the spot will probably be better served at another position and Tenuta seems like a perfect candidate for the practice squad.
