53-man roster projections for the Buffalo Bills after the preseason
Cornerback (7)
Dane Jackson, Taron Johnson, Kaiir Elam, Siran Neal, Christian Benford, Cam Lewis, Nick McCloud
PUP: Tre’Davious White
The cornerback position is one that probably sees the most significant change between the Panthers game and the roster cutdown deadline. The reason is that the Buffalo Bills will have to make a decision on Tre’Davious White.
The former All-Pro cornerback hasn’t practiced at all this year as he rehabs from an ACL injury suffered last season. He has remained on the active/PUP list but the Bills will need to decide to either activate him or move him to the reserve/PUP list.
At this point, and the fact he hasn’t practiced yet, I would suspect the Bills move him to the PUP list and this means he will miss the first four games. With his absence, the Bills should want to have extra options just in case and that is why I have seven cornerbacks on this roster, with Nick McCloud and Cam Lewis making the final roster.
