53-man roster projections for the Buffalo Bills after the preseason
Defensive Line (9)
Defensive End: Von Miller, Greg Rousseau, Boogie Basham, A.J. Epenesa, Shaq Lawson
Defensive Tackle: Ed Oliver, DaQuan Jones, Tim Settle Jr., Jordan Phillips
The Buffalo Bills rebuilt this defensive line during the offseason with five of the nine players in these 53-man roster projections being free agent additions.
The Bills are hoping to see significant improvement at defensive end with Von Miller being the biggest free agent the team has signed in probably a decade. However, the improvement also hopefully comes from the younger players like Greg Rousseau, Boogie Basham, and A.J. Epenesa taking that next step.
On the interior of the line, it will most likely be a four-player rotation with Ed Oliver and DaQuan Jones as the starters but Tim Settle Jr. and Jordan Phillips getting a lot of snaps. One potential change here is if the Bills want to keep a fifth defensive tackle like Brandin Bryant or Eli Ankou but for now, I don’t believe they will have the room to keep either.
