The running back position is probably one of the most well-rounded backfields the Buffalo Bills have had in a long time. The Bills should go into the season with a three-man committee of Devin Singletary, Zack Moss, and James Cook.

One of the reasons it is well-rounded is that each should have defined roles with Devin Singletary as the early down running back and getting a majority of the carries while rookie James Cook will be the change of pace, pass-catching running back.

The biggest change over the past few weeks has been the emergence of Zack Moss, who has looked great this summer and should be the short-yardage, goal-line back.

While these three running backs should have defined roles this coming season, they will not be limited to those responsibilities. For example, while Cook is the better receiver, Devin Singletary had 40 receptions last year and should still get some looks in the passing game.

It is going to keep defenses guessing and this group has the potential to give the offense the balance they have been missing.
