The Buffalo Bills entered training camp knowing that Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis were going to be big parts of the offense but they were going to need other wide receivers to step up to complete this group.

The team has gotten that with players like Isaiah McKenzie, Khalil Shakir, and also Isaiah Hodgins all emerging over the past few weeks. At this point, McKenzie and Shakir have their roster spots locked in but Hodgins may still be fighting for a spot.

In the first preseason game against the Colts, Hodgins led the Bills in receptions with nine as well as targets with 11. He would gain 77 receiving yards on those receptions, which were second on the team behind only Khalil Shakir.

Hodgins is one of the biggest wide receivers on the Buffalo Bills and could be a good depth player at the position for the outside. The question is does he need to show he can contribute more to the team, like on special teams, to earn a spot on the 53-man roster for the first time in his career?
