Terrel Bernard
Terrel Bernard had the play of the game for the Buffalo Bills and would score the first touchdown of the preseason. The third round pick would pick up a fumble after Boogie Basham forced the fumble on a sack and the former Baylor linebacker took it 69 yards for a touchdown.
Bernard would play 37 snaps or 51% of the defensive snaps and would also have three total tackles.
While he made the big play, there were some things that he will need to work on. Thad Brown noted it during the game but Bernard was beaten in coverage on a fourth down play by the Colts.
The Buffalo Bills have their top two linebackers set with Tremaine Edmunds and Matt Milano but Bernard could have a role as that third linebacker, which in this defense is more of a part-time starter.
If Bernard is going to win that job, he will need to show he can be effective dropping back into pass coverage.
