Safety (4)

Jordan Poyer, Micah Hyde, Jaquan Johnson, Damar Hamlin

The Buffalo Bills still don’t have Jordan Poyer back as he deals with an elbow injury during training camp earlier this month. However, Jaquan Johnson is making the most of the extra opportunities and had an interception on Saturday against the Colts.

Similar to the defensive line, this is a position group that looks to be pretty well set and these are the four players that have been expected to make up the safety position on the 53-man roster. There is no reason to think any different at this point.

Specialists (3)

Long Snapper: Reid Ferguson

Kicker: Tyler Bass

Punter: Matt Araiza

The only question mark among the specialists is who will win the starting punter job between veteran Matt Haack and rookie Matt Araiza. After the first preseason game, it would seem that Araiza has the edge with an impressive 82-yard punt and perfect holds for all of Tyler Bass’ attempts.
