53-man roster projections for Buffalo Bills after first preseason game
Linebacker (6)
Tremaine Edmunds, Matt Milano, Terrel Bernard, Tyrel Dodson, Tyler Matakevich, Baylon Spector
Terrel Bernard had the play of the game with his fumble recovery for a touchdown but Baylon Spector was probably the best linebacker on the field for the Buffalo Bills in their first preseason game.
Spector, who was a seventh round pick by the Bills out of Clemson, would lead the team in tackles with 10 and added a pass breakup. He looked very comfortable in this defense and was constantly around the football.
In the past, the Bills have typically only had five linebackers but if the Buffalo Bills are considering running more 4-3 defense it would make sense to add another linebacker on the 53-man roster. Spector will need to show he can make an impact on special teams and if he can do that, he has a good chance at the 53-man roster.
