Defensive Line (9)

Defensive End: Von Miller, Greg Rousseau, Boogie Basham, A.J. Epenesa, Shaq Lawson

Defensive Tackle: Ed Oliver, DaQuan Jones, Tim Settle Jr., Jordan Phillips

The defensive line is one that has seemingly been set since OTAs earlier this year and there really hasn’t been enough to warrant it being changed.

The Bills kept a number of players on the sideline in the first preseason game and this gave Boogie Basham a chance to make an impact, which he did with a strip sack and Terrel Bernard would pick up and return 69 yards for a touchdown.

If there is a player to watch that could work his way onto the 53-man roster, it would be defensive tackle Prince Emili. The undrafted free agent addition had a great game against the Indianapolis Colts and the team wants depth at the position so a player like Emili would make sense.

If the Bills were to add Emili to the 53-man roster, the team would try to find the roster spot at another position. It is hard to imagine that he would pass Jordan Phillips and the Bills would instead elect to have five defensive tackles.
