4 Buffalo Bills on the roster bubble with big performances against the Colts
For most players in the preseason, they are competing for that next spot on the depth chart or even just for a spot on the 53-man roster. On Saturday against the Indianapolis Colts, the Buffalo Bills didn’t play any starters so everyone on the field found themselves in this category.
The Bills’ roster is one of the most talented in the league and competitions are certainly tough. The players that make the 53-man roster will have earned that spot and these were four players who are on the roster bubble but really helped their case to be on the regular season roster with their performance against the Colts.
4 Buffalo Bills on the roster bubble who helped themselves with their performance against the Indianapolis Colts
Isaiah Hodgins
One of the stars from the second half of training camp was wide receiver Isaiah Hodgins. The former sixth round pick continued that strong performance into the game against the Indianapolis Colts and finished with nine receptions on 11 targets for 77 yards, including this impressive catch in the fourth quarter.
If Isaiah Hodgins continues to play at this level over the next two preseason games, the Buffalo Bills are going to have a tough time not adding him to the 53-man roster.
He is a player that could move up the depth chart and be the primary backup on the outside behind Stefon Diggs and Gabriel Davis while bringing some size to the position.
