7 quick thoughts from Buffalo Bills preseason win over the Colts
Plenty to correct for the Buffalo Bills before next week
While the Buffalo Bills did get the win, the coaching staff will have plenty to work on ahead of next week’s game with the Denver Broncos. For most of the game, it was rather sloppy football as the Bills would be penalized 11 times and turn the ball over five times.
Most of the turnovers did come in the first half as Case Keenum had two interceptions and one fumble while Jake Kumerow also had a fumble lost in the first two quarterbacks.
In addition to the turnovers and penalties, the Bills struggled to stay on the field as they converted only five of 12 third down attempts and one of two fourth down attempts.
The good news is that these are things that typically can be corrected and most likely will as the starters get back on the field and the team as a whole gets more practice. However, if the Buffalo Bills want to achieve their ultimate goal this year, which is a Super Bowl victory, they can’t afford to continue to have these types of mistakes during the regular season.
