Mike Love

Among the players on the Buffalo Bills roster, Mike Love might be one of the longest-tenured players although he has played only four games over his time with the franchise. The Bills signed Love as an undrafted free agent in 2018 and as a rookie would play in three games and record five tackles.

He spent the 2019 season on injured reserve after suffering an injury during training camp and the past two years he has been on the team’s practice squad. He did appear in one game during the 2020 season and had two tackles and one tackle for a loss in Week 17 of that season against the Miami Dolphins.

Love is a player that has seemingly done well in training camp, this year included, but has never been able to make it onto the 53-man roster. It is hard to imagine the Buffalo Bills keep bringing a player like Love back if they don’t believe there is talent there.

The challenge is the defensive end position is one of the deepest on the roster and there probably is not a spot for Mike Love. If he plays well in the preseason, there may be a team interested in trading for him as every NFL team is on the lookout for pass rushers.
