While Devin Singletary is going to be the starting running back, James Cook is the one that has the potential to be a star in fantasy football. The biggest reason is that he is going to be heavily involved in the passing game and with his speed and agility, he is a big play waiting to happen.

When considering that most of his fantasy points are going to be in the passing game, he has the potential to be a great running back option in PPR leagues. If there is a comparison that could show where the ceiling is for James Cook, it would be New Orleans’ Saints running back Alvin Kamara.

As a rookie, Kamara won Offensive Rookie of the Year and while he had only 120 rushing attempts and 728 rushing yards, he did have 81 receptions on 100 targets for 826 receiving yards and 13 total touchdowns.

The skillset that James Cook brings combined with the offense the Buffalo Bills have is a perfect match and would appear to set up the former University of Georgia running back to become a star in fantasy football this season.
