Kaiir Elam starting to make more plays at practice

One player who has gotten a lot of attention in the early part of training camp is cornerback Kaiir Elam. He was the team’s first round pick this year and while he will be the number two cornerback once Tre’Davious White, early in training camp he is finding himself a frequent target of Josh Allen as he is typically covering Stefon Diggs.

Early in training camp, the All-Pro wide receiver has been getting the better of the battle and this is not surprising. The hope is that the rookie would be able to steadily improve during training camp and that is something he has seemingly done as there have been more observations from camp recently like this one from Thad Brown.

Elam met with the media after Monday’s practice and said Josh Allen is the best quarterback he has ever seen. While it remains to be seen what his role is going to be to start the season, the opportunity to go up against one of the best quarterback/wide receiver duos in the league should help speed up the process of getting him ready to start the year.
