More offensive shuffling for the Buffalo Bills

This has been a constant theme throughout training camp as the coaching staff has tried to manage injuries and absences along the offensive line. The Bills are still without Rodger Saffold who is on the NFI list and has not practiced yet due to rib injuries suffered in a car accident prior to camp.

He has been joined by Ryan Bates, who is expected to be the other starting guard and has missed a few practices in a row. The Bills also were without Dion Dawkins for a few days but he returned on Monday and Spencer Brown is slowly brought along as he rehabs after having a procedure on his back in the offseason.

On Monday, the Buffalo Bills saw Dawkins return but in the same practice saw Tommy Doyle leave due to an injury. As Thad Brown tweeted, this forced the coaching staff to reshuffle, and Greg Van Roten and Bobby Hart were the starting guards with David Quessenberry in at right tackle.

There is no question that the depth is on full display and the Buffalo Bills should feel confident in that. However, there needs to get to be a point where the coaching staff has to hope to have their starting five get some practice reps, especially with a player like Aaron Donald on the schedule for the very first game.
