Con: Unlikely to contribute until late in the season

Recovery from ACL injuries is a long-term process and that is evident in what Tre’Davious White is currently working through. He suffered an ACL injury near the end of November and while he is working out at camp, he has yet to be cleared to come off the PUP list. There are some questions about whether or not he will be ready to start the season.

While every ACL injury is unique and recovery time can drastically vary, considering that White is roughly nine months removed from his injury and is not back. This likely means Odell Beckham Jr. potentially might not be back until December or even into the playoffs.

This raises the question of whether or not the Buffalo Bills would want to bring him in as they don’t get the benefit of the depth until late in the season. As well as once he is recovered, how does he get worked into the offense?

If the Buffalo Bills’ offense is playing at a high level, would they want to try and rotate OBJ in and potentially disrupt that rhythm they have built over the season?

These are likely questions that the front office and coaching staff are trying to answer when discussing potentially signing Odell Beckham Jr.
