The Buffalo Bills have reached the next phase of training camp as Saturday was the team’s first practice in pads. This is typically when the intensity of practice starts to get turned up and that was certainly the case on Saturday.

Update on injuries and absences for Buffalo Bills players

The injury list continues to grow for the Buffalo Bills to start training camp however the good news is they have avoided serious injuries to this point. On Friday, the most notable injury was with Micah Hyde who left practice early after landing hard after nearly intercepting Josh Allen.

Sean McDermott did say that Hyde will be ‘day-to-day’ with the hip just being sore but nothing serious. This is great news for a player who is a key part of this defense and he should be back sooner rather than later.

He also said that Jamison Crowder, Ryan Bates, DaQuan Jones, and Jake Kumerow are also day-to-day with general soreness. All four players will have missed multiple practices this week.

The Buffalo Bills head coach also was asked about Spencer Brown, who has been practicing in a limited fashion but hasn’t been practicing with the starters as he works his way back from a back procedure. McDermott did say they are trying to bring him along and following the direction of the trainers with the hope he can get back soon.

The Bills also will be without their other starting offensive tackle for a few days as Dion Dawkins has been excused for personal reasons.
