Predicting the 2022 season stat leaders for the Buffalo Bills

Buffalo Bills 2022 leader in rushing yards: Devin Singletary
Things got real interesting in the 2022 NFL Draft when the Bills selected James Cook in the second round. It was Buffalo’s first time drafting a running back in the first or second round since they draft C.J. Spiller out of Clemson in 2010. With the selection, Cook joined a crowded backfield consisting of Devin Singletary and Zack Moss.
Even with how crowded things are in the running back room, Singletary is still expected to be the Bills’ primary back. The former FAU Owl has received first-team reps during training camp, so the coaching staff can expect him to carry most of the load. His carries will be split with Moss and Cook, who will more-or-less be a fixture in the Bills’ passing game.
It’s also worth noting that this year is Singletary’s contract year, as the fourth-year pro is set to hit free agency in 2023. With it being his contract year, it’ll give Singletary more motivation to improve upon his performance in 2021, when he rushed for a team-leading 870 yards.
He had a big stretch at the end of 2021, with 323 yards and six total touchdowns in the last four games, so it’ll be interesting to see if he can sustain that production during the entire 2022 season.
