Terrel Bernard
On the defensive side of the ball, third round draft pick Terrel Bernard has made his presence known through the start of training camp. In the first practice of training camp, Bernard was able to break up a pass intended for Dawson Knox.
While the speed and quickness were expected from Bernard, which is something he showed during his time at Baylor, one area that he has impressed many is that he has instincts for the game that is rare for rookies.
Defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier was on One Bills Live and specifically mentioned that the instincts he showed in college have translated. In addition, Tremaine Edmunds said that Bernard is doing a great job at processing information and using it on the field.
The Buffalo Bills may not have a clear role for Bernard as a rookie but the coaching staff may be forced to find a way to get him on the field if he continues to make an impact.
