The latest edition of the Madden video game is set to be released in August and over the next week, EA Sports is slowly announcing ratings for each of the players going through each position. One of the first positions they announced was wide receiver with Stefon Diggs not only the highest rated wide receiver on the Buffalo Bills at 95, but he was also the fifth highest in the entire NFL at his position.

The team’s star wide receiver was behind only Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams (99 overall), Los Angeles Rams’ wide receiver Cooper Kupp (98 overall), Miami Dolphins’ wide receiver Tyreek Hill (97 overall), and Arizona Cardinals’ wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins (96 overall)

After Diggs, there is a sizable gap at the wide receiver position on the Buffalo Bills’ roster with Gabriel Davis and Jamison Crowder next as both players are tied with a rating of 80 overall.

The other wide receivers and their overall ratings were:

  • Isaiah McKenzie (76 overall)
  • Tavon Austin (75 overall)
  • Khalil Shakir (70 overall)
  • Jake Kumerow (69 overall)
  • Marquez Stevenson (69 overall)
  • Isaiah Hodgins (64 overall)
  • Tanner Gentry (59 overall)

When looking a little further into the ratings, Isaiah McKenzie, Tavon Austin, and Stefon Diggs are all tied for the fastest on the roster with a Speed rating of 92 and Marquez Stevenson is not far behind at 91.

McKenzie in fact is tied or leads the Bills in a number of other ratings as he is tied with Diggs for the highest acceleration (94) and tied with Jamison Crowder for the highest agility with a rating of 93.

These ratings are just the starting point for Madden 23 and it is safe to assume players like Gabriel Davis should see his player rating significantly improve over the year if he has the breakout year that many expect he has as the starting wide receiver opposite Diggs.
