Jamison Crowder vs. Isaiah McKenzie vs. Khalil Shakir

One of the significant changes to the starting lineup is Cole Beasley is no longer the starting slot receiver for the Buffalo Bills. In three seasons with the Buffalo Bills, he had over 100 targets each season and averaged 77 receptions and over 800 receiving yards per season.

However, the team released the veteran receiver and will likely look to a trio of wide receivers to replace him. The Bills signed free agent Jamison Crowder this offseason to a one-year deal and he is a reliable pass catcher with experience in the slot during his time with Washington and the New York Jets.

However, they also brought back Isaiah McKenzie who could be in a position to finally see his role expand in this offense. Over the past two years in limited starts, he has played well and last year had a career game with 11 receptions, 125 receiving yards, and one touchdown in his only start.

The third option is rookie Khalil Shakir, who the team drafted in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL Draft. He is likely a long shot to earn the starting job this year and may be more of an option in 2023 but he does need to be mentioned and if he has a strong training camp he could end up winning this battle.
