While some spots still need to be decided on the depth chart at cornerback, it is almost certainly going to be some combination of Tre’Davious White, Kaiir Elam, Dane Jackson, Taron Johnson, and Siran Neal at the top. However, it is really anyone’s guess who might claim that one, possibly two, spots at the back part of the depth chart.

This is one of the more wide-open position battles as it has numerous players who could be fighting for those spots. The Bills brought back Cam Lewis, who is the veteran of this group, who has been with the team for a few years and has appeared in 12 games and has 3 starts. He also could have a slight advantage over the other players as he could backup outside corner or inside.

There is also Olaijah Griffin and Nick McCloud, who were undrafted free agents last year, and spent most of the season on the practice squad (although McCloud was signed by the Bengals during the season). Finally, there is Christian Benford who is a sixth round draft pick by the Buffalo Bills this year, and while he is a draft pick seems to be the player with the biggest uphill climb as he tries to get up to speed.

One thing to note in this training camp battle will be position flexibility and the possibility that some of these players could be getting some snaps at safety. McCloud during OTAs saw some practice time there and Benford is a player that potentially could be a better fit at safety long-term.
