Denzel Perryman

Denzel Perryman started his NFL career with the Chargers and played six seasons there before signing with the Carolina Panthers last offseason. However, he would not play a regular season game with the Panthers as he was traded before the season to the Las Vegas Raiders.

Perryman would have a career year last season with the Raiders with 154 total tackles, three passes defended, and two forced fumbles. Based on his play, he would be named to the Pro Bowl for the first time in his career.

While Denzel Perryman could be an option if he reaches free agency, he may not be the perfect fit for this defense and what the Buffalo Bills look for from their linebackers. The Bills want more athletic linebackers who can cover more of the field with only two on the field in their nickel formation, this also includes dropping back into coverage.

However, this is not Perryman’s strength and he is more of a run-stuffing linebacker like the league had more of in the 1980s and 1990s. While the Buffalo Bills may consider Denzel Perryman, the other linebackers on this list could be a better option.
