Last year, the Buffalo Bills had the best pass defense in the NFL after allowing only 163 passing yards per game and 12 touchdowns, which was five fewer than the Los Angeles Rams who were second and allowed 17.

This year, the Buffalo Bills bring back four of their five starters with first round draft pick Kaiir Elam being the new addition and replacing Levi Wallace, who signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers in free agency. The biggest question though is when Tre’Davious White can return and play at the All-Pro level he has over the past few years.

White suffered a torn ACL last season and the hope is that he can return for the start of the year but the Buffalo Bills won’t have a good idea of that until training camp.

The sooner Tre’Davious White can return the better, especially with these five wide receivers on their schedule this year.

. . Amari Cooper. 5. player. 53.

Amari Cooper was a first round pick by the Raiders in 2015 and since has been one of the more consistent wide receivers in the league between his years with the Raiders and recently the Cowboys. In eight years, he has made the Pro Bowl four times, has had over 1,000 receiving yards five years, and has had six or more touchdowns in five seasons as well.

In a move to clear cap space, the Cowboys traded Cooper to the Cleveland Browns where he is expected to be the team’s number one wide receiver. Even with Odell Beckham Jr. on their team recently, the Browns have typically been a run-first offense but the addition of Cooper could give them the balance they have been looking for.

The Buffalo Bills play the Cleveland Browns in Week 11 so they should have a good idea at this point of the season if Cooper is helping this offense like many envision. This also should be a time when Tre’Davious White is back and would draw the assignment of covering the former first round pick.
