Underrated Buffalo Bills AFC East Rival No. 1: Quinnen Williams, New York Jets

Quinnen Williams is one of those guys that plays a thankless position very well.

There was thought to put Ashtyn Davis in this spot, but after seeing Quinnen Williams has yet to make a Pro Bowl, the decision was made.

One of the biggest knocks to Quinnen Williams is the fact that he has yet to play a full season since being drafted in 2019. When drafted No. 3 overall, there’s a level of expectation that comes with it.

However, even with an issue of missing games, Quinnen Williams is a force to be reckoned with when on the field.

In the past two seasons, Williams combined for 13 sacks, six pass deflections, and 108 tackles (60 solo, 40 assisted). Those obviously aren’t numbers that fly off the page, but for someone that primarily plays in the middle of the defensive line, those are pretty impressive numbers.

If he can fully recover from his injuries, there’s nothing saying he can’t be one of the top DTs in the NFL. Aaron Donald clearly has the top of the mountain covered, but under him, the level of competition isn’t as high.

And for the New York Jets, it’s not super easy to find someone underrated. The list of guys was pretty short to pick from. For the Jets fans, Elijah Moore was thought of, but even he has a lot of hype around him because of fantasy football.

Quinnen Williams is a guy that– if healthy– could be one of the best interior defensive linemen in the entire league. And yet, more people seem to know him for his funny video where he thanked himself for blessing himself after sneezing.
