player. 16. . . . Tre'Davious White. 2

While Tre’Davious White is next in the AFC East rankings, he is closer to the top spot (which at this point seems like a coin flip) than the number three cornerback. Tre’Davious White was a first round pick by the Buffalo Bills in 2017 and over his NFL career has developed into one of the top cornerbacks in the league.

He was runner-up for Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2017, has made the Pro Bowl twice, and was named to the first-team All-Pro and second-team All-Pro on separate occasions. For his career, he has 16 interceptions and 60 passes defended, and in the past four seasons, he has not had a QB rating against higher than 80.0.

The reason that White is number two is that these rankings are for cornerbacks entering the 2022 season and he has a big question mark about how he might play this season. Tre’Davious White unfortunately suffered a torn ACL against the New Orleans Saints at the end of November and it remains to be seen if he can return to that level in the early parts of the upcoming season.

This shouldn’t be a long-term issue but he may need more time to work back to playing at the level he has shown earlier in his career.
