Tight Ends (3)

Dawson Knox, O.J. Howard, Tommy Sweeney

While the Buffalo Bills have other tight ends on the roster, like Jalen Wydermyer and Quintin Morris, these are the three tight ends likely to make the roster. Dawson Knox will remain as the starter and Tommy Sweeney moves down the depth charts as more of a run-blocking specialist with the addition of O.J. Howard, who was signed as a free agent this offseason.

If the Buffalo Bills need a roster spot for another position, they could go into the season with only two tight ends with Reggie Gilliam as the third tight end option since he played the position in college.

If the Buffalo Bills do drop to only two tight ends, it may actually be O.J. Howard who is released. During minicamp, Matt Parrino with Syracuse.com wrote about how Howard looked slow during practice.

Parrino noted that it was minicamp and Howard is still learning the offense but if he continues to struggle, the Bills may decide the roster spot could be better used at another position.
