Will Jordan Poyer be present at the minicamp?

The biggest question entering minicamp is whether or not Jordan Poyer reports this week. So far this season, the team’s starting safety has not participated in any offseason workouts.

The main reason appears to be the fact that Poyer is looking for a new contract entering the final season of his current deal. He is coming off one of the best seasons of his career with 93 total tackles, three sacks, and five interceptions and being named first-team All-Pro.

Last week, general manager Brandon Beane spoke with the media and said he had “no indication” that Poyer was planning to skip the team’s minicamp. However, if he does this could signal a longer hold out that could carry over into training camp and potentially the season.

For a team with Super Bowl aspirations, they can’t let this distract them and the Buffalo Bills will have to either reach an agreement with Poyer or potentially look to trade him.
