The Buffalo Bills have one of the best offenses in the NFL due to players like Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs but they are not able to do it alone. Over the years, general manager Brandon Beane has done a good job finding talent in the NFL Draft.

Recently, two of those draft picks were selected by Doug Farrar at the TouchdownWire as part of his most underrated offense.

The first player is running back Devin Singletary, who is coming off a career year with over 1,000 yards from scrimmage for the first time in his career and had eight total touchdowns, which also was a career-high.

"Singletary’s 51 missed tackles forced ranked seventh in the league, he had 22 carries of 10-plus yards, and 650 of 977 yards came after contact. He’s not a power guy, per se — Singletary makes big plays happen with speed and elusiveness."

Farrar highlights a few points of Singletary’s game that is often overlooked as he is not a big running back but has enough power to pick up extra yards and break tackles. He also had some big plays on the ground with those carries over 10 yards.

The second player is tight end Dawson Knox, who also had a career year last year with 49 receptions, 587 receiving yards, and nine touchdowns.

"It’s also fitting that with a quarterback in Josh Allen who’s such a dynamic deep thrower, Knox caught seven passes of 20 or more air yards — only Mark Andrews of the Ravens had more with nine among tight ends in 2021."

As Farrar writes, Knox was a big play threat up the middle of the field for the Buffalo Bills last year. One of the big reasons for his breakout season was the fact that he became a more consistent pass catcher and improved his drops.

Last year, he had four drops which was the same total as 2020 however those four drops occurred on almost twice as many targets and because of this his drop rate was cut almost in half from 9.1% in 2020 to 5.4% last season.

Both players are entering contract years and the Buffalo Bills may be looking to extend them this offseason. If they don’t, and Devin Singletary and Dawson Knox have another season like they did last year, they should generate plenty of interest in free agency in 2023.
