Another player who has the potential to get lost in the shuffle at his position is the player drafted one round before Moss in defensive end A.J. Epenesa. In 2020, the Bills didn’t have a first round pick after trading it to the Minnesota Vikings for Stefon Diggs.

They would end up using their pick in the second round on former Iowa pass rusher A.J. Epenesa, who at the time was considered a draft steal and a player who could have gone in the first round.

However, Epenesa hasn’t been very productive and only has 2.5 sacks and 13 QB hits over 28 games.

The defensive end position will look different this year with Jerry Hughes and Mario Addison leaving in free agency and being replaced by Von Miller and Shaq Lawson. These two, combined with Greg Rousseau and Boogie Basham (who reportedly has generated optimism within the franchise) may move Epenesa down the depth chart.

There have been times that Epenesa has shown flashes of what many thought he could be at the NFL level but he will need to show it more on a consistent basis.
