Week 17: Buffalo Bills at Cincinnati Bengals
After the season opener against the Los Angeles Rams and the Week 6 matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs, this game is probably the third biggest game on the schedule. The Buffalo Bills will be traveling to Cincinnati to face the Bengals on Monday Night Football.
This game could be carrying serious playoff implications as these are two teams expected to be competing for that top seed within the conference. The winner here could earn that spot, which comes with a first round bye in the playoffs.
The Bengals last year made a remarkable playoff run that resulted in a win over the Chiefs and a trip to the Super Bowl. They are led by Joe Burrow and an excellent trio of wide receivers in Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, and Tyler Boyd.
Fortunately for the Bills, this game is later in the season and gives them a great chance of having a secondary ready to match up with them. At this point in the season, the hope is that Tre’Davious White is fully recovered from his ACL injury and Kaiir Elam has gained enough experience to be past the rookie mistakes.
This is a matchup of two high-powered offenses but I think the Buffalo Bills’ defense is slightly better and that is the edge needed to secure the win.
Prediction: Win (14-2)
