Buffalo Bills Free Agent Target: Joe Schobert

The final position the Buffalo Bills could look to add a free agent is at linebacker, particularly middle linebacker. The starters are set for Buffalo with Tremaine Edmunds and Matt Milano set to return for another season.

However, the Bills released A.J. Klein and the linebackers on the roster behind the starters are inexperienced with Tyrel Dodson having the most starts with two.

If the Bills were to lose Edmunds for an extended period of time, Buffalo likely would look to Dodson or they could sign someone like Joe Schobert to backup Edmunds which would give them a player who has been a starter for a number of years now.

Schobert has 80 career starts over six seasons with the Cleveland Browns, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Pittsburgh Steelers. This past season Schobert started 15 games with the Steelers and had 112 total tackles, one interception, and six passes defended.

At this point of the offseason, the Buffalo Bills don’t necessarily need starters but if they were to add these three free agents it would help solidify the depth and put the team in a better position to manage the absences of starters due to injuries during the season.
