Buffalo Bills 2022 NFL 7-round mock draft decided by computer simulation
Buffalo Bills Sixth Round Pick (185th overall): Max Mitchell, OT (Louisiana)
With the first of their two sixth round picks, the Bills selected offensive tackle Max Mitchell out of Louisiana. The Bills drafted two offensive tackles last year but adding another at a key position wouldn’t necessarily be a bad decision.
The scouting report on The Draft Network believes Mitchell has the skill set to play left or right tackle in the NFL and his strength is in pass protection. The fact that the Buffalo Bills have become a pass-heavy attack, adding an offensive lineman that excels in this area makes sense.
Buffalo Bills Sixth Round Pick (203rd overall): Neil Farrell Jr., DT (LSU)
With the second pick in the sixth round, the Buffalo Bills stay in the trenches but go to the other side of the ball by selecting defensive tackle Neil Farrell Jr. out of LSU. He is a big defensive tackle at 6’4″ and 330 pounds that can eat up space and clog running lanes in the middle of the field.
The Bills did sign three defensive tackles this offseason but adding a younger player at the position could be the final piece.
Buffalo Bills Seventh Round Pick (231st overall): Noah Elliss, DT (Idaho)
It certainly would make sense for the Buffalo Bills to add depth on the defensive line on Day 3 however adding a second defensive tackle may be too much. The Bills already have four defensive tackles under contract with five defensive ends.
If the Bills were to select Neil Farrell Jr. in the sixth round that would give them 10 defensive linemen, which is around what they have typically had on the 53-man roster.
With that said, I like the player (Noah Elliss) and the spot better than selecting Neil Farrell Jr. in the sixth. He is a little bigger than Farrell and I think he does a little better against the run.

In the end, the mock draft simulator did a great job with the first two picks and fans should be very happy if the Buffalo Bills come away with Trent McDuffie and Breece Hall in those spots. However, as the draft went along, there were probably some spots where the Bills could have found more value and the fact that didn’t get a wide receiver is surprising.
