Buffalo Bills First Round Pick (25th overall): Trent McDuffie, CB (Washington)
The Buffalo Bills address their biggest need with their first pick and do so with one of the top players at the position. Trent McDuffie out of Washington is one of the top cornerbacks in this year’s class and is a perfect fit for this defense.
McDuffie has plenty of experience playing zone as this was the primary defensive scheme run at the University of Washington. He played 27 games over three seasons and finished with 94 total tackles, 4.5 tackles for a loss, two interceptions, and eight passes defended.
The addition of Trent McDuffie gives the Buffalo Bills a player who can step into the starting lineup Day 1. This is great at a position with plenty of questions after losing Levi Wallace in free agency and Tre’Davious White working his way back from an ACL injury.
If Trent McDuffie is still on the board when the Buffalo Bills are on the clock, this would be a great pick and help solidify that secondary.
