The 2022 NFL Draft is a little over a week away and there isn’t much clarity at this point on what direction the Buffalo Bills might go. However, one potential scenario is the Bills trading up in the first round.

With that in mind, I have put together a seven round mock draft with a trade up and who I would pick with the players that were on the board in the Pro Football Focus Mock Draft Simulator.

Trade: Buffalo Bills receive first-round pick (18th overall), Philadelphia Eagles receive first-round pick (25th overall), fourth round pick (130th overall), sixth round pick (185th overall), 2023 fourth round pick

I decided that I wanted to go wide receiver with the Bills’ first-round pick. With the Patriots and Packers set to pick #21 and #22, I decided that I needed to jump them to land one of the best wide receivers in the class.

When looking at the wide receivers, there is a clear group of five players at the top of the position (Garrett Wilson, Jameson Williams, Treylon Burks, Drake London, and Chris Olave) that is essentially interchangeable and it will come down to what teams value more in terms of who they prioritize

Giving up four picks for one might be a tough sell, but I don’t think that the 130th pick or the 185th pick are helping the Bills win the Super Bowl this year. All hands should be on deck to deliver a Super Bowl to Buffalo on the last year of Josh Allen’s rookie contract.
