4 prospects the Buffalo Bills should target if they trade back in NFL Draft
David Ojabo, EDGE (Michigan)
At one point this year, David Ojabo looked like he was on his way to being a Top 10 pick. However, a torn Achilles at the Michigan Pro Day has dropped his draft stock and it remains to be seen just how far he will drop.
However, the recovery timeline according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter is in line with Rams’ running back Cam Akers, who missed roughly six months. This means that Ojabo could potentially return sometime this upcoming season.
When he does return, whichever team drafts him should be getting a player who has great speed, and can get after the quarterback but may need some time to develop into a well-rounded edge rusher.
For the Buffalo Bills, they could afford to be patient if they drafted Ojabo with the depth they have at the position with Von Miller, Greg Rousseau, Boogie Basham, and A.J. Epenesa. They could use him in just certain passing down situations or even give him the entire year to recover and be ready to contribute in 2023.
This could be viewed as a luxury pick but teams can never have too many pass rushers, especially in an AFC with as many talented quarterbacks as they currently have.
