Buffalo Bills’ Wide Receiver Prospect No. 3: David Bell, Purdue

David Bell is another receiver that, while they had a “poor” NFL Combine, should still be viewed as a very talented receiver.

Prior to the Combine, Bell was one of the top Day 2 receivers seemingly, while now he’s mocked to go near Pick No. 100.

When watching Bell, it’s clear that he brings a lot to the table. His ability to go up on 50/50 balls and come down with them is pretty impressive.

Another note on Bell is his route-running. That’s been something that’s a point of emphasis for David Bell, so having two route-running aficionados in Diggs and Bell could be a very dangerous offensive pairing.

Obviously, his routes have only been run against college defensive backs thus far, but he’s a guy that seems to hold himself to a high standard and wants to be great. It could be seen as cliché to say that NFL players should want it more than the person across from them, but for some players that think they’re the cat’s meow, the drive to want to get 1% each day could diminish.

If the Buffalo Bills were able to get David Bell with their 89th pick, it could be a great addition to this already powerful offense.

Especially if they’re able to attack some needs with their first two picks, the Bills could afford to take a gamble on David Bell with their third-round pick.

There are only two receivers left, unfortunately. I know, I’d do this all day if I could, really. But, all good things must come to an end, as I unveil the last two receivers of this list.
