2022 NFL Draft: Isaiah Spiller reportedly has Top 30 visit with Buffalo Bills
Could the Buffalo Bills look to add one of the top running backs in this year’s class?
The running back position is one that the Buffalo Bills may have high on their list to upgrade during the 2022 NFL Draft. The team still has Devin Singletary, who played very well down the stretch, as well as Zach Moss and the recent free agent addition Duke Johnson.
However, when considering the offense has one of the top quarterbacks in the league (Josh Allen), one of the top wide receivers (Stefon Diggs), and a player on the rise at tight end (Dawson Knox), adding one of the best running backs could make sense to make this offense even more dynamic.
One of those players is Texas A&M’s Isaiah Spiller, who according to Pro Football Network’s Aaron Wilson has a Top 30 visit scheduled with the Buffalo Bills.
Is Isaiah Spiller the answer at running back for the Buffalo Bills?
The running back position is one that has been devalued over the past few years and usually the top players at the position are not being selected until late in the first round but a majority are being selected on Day 2 in the second and third round.
This is likely where Spiller is going to end up being selected after lackluster workouts at the NFL Combine and then at the Texas A&M Pro Day. After the NFL Combine, Spiller’s agent said that he was dealing with injuries and that is why he didn’t run in the 40-yard dash.
At the Pro Day a few weeks later, Spiller did run in the 40-yard dash but was quoted by Calvin Watkins of the Dallas News that he isn’t concerned about the 4.6 time and that he has more game speed.

Spiller is one of the more well-rounded running backs in this draft class as he had 2,993 rushing yards, 25 rushing touchdowns with 74 receptions, and 585 receiving yards with one receiving touchdown.

The fact that the Buffalo Bills are reportedly bringing in Spiller as one of their 30 visits should indicate that there is legitimate interest from the team. It will be interesting if the team elects to use one of their top picks at the position, which is likely where the former Texas A&M running back will be drafted.
