Round 1, Pick 25: Kenyon Green, IOL (Texas A&M)
The Buffalo Bills did bring in one interior offensive lineman this offseason by signing Rodger Saffold to a one-year deal. However, they also lost Jon Feliciano and Daryl Williams, two players they released, along with having Ike Boettger and Ryan Bates both currently free agents, and it is unknown at this point if they will return.
The depth here is a big concern and while they are likely going to add another player or two, offensive guard is one position Buffalo takes a very close look at. Fortunately, in this mock draft two of the best were available in Zion Johnson out of Boston College and Kenyon Green out of Texas A&M.
Both are expected to be very good in the NFL and should be able to step in as a starter from Day 1. However, I believe Kenyon Green is just slightly better than Johnson and gives Buffalo a complete package at the guard position when it comes to both run blocking and pass protection.
The selection of Green completes the Bills starting offensive line and this group should be able to improve over last year’s performance.
